To close its 2025–2026 season, the St. Lawrence Choir presents a program entirely dedicated to Canadian choral repertoire, under the direction of guest conductor Gabrielle Gaudreault.
The first half will highlight the richness and diversity of choral music from here at home, featuring works by Marie-Claire Saindon, Maurice Dela, and Lionel Daunais. These contemporary composers draw on poetry, nature, and heritage to create an expressive and deeply human musical language.
The second half will be devoted to the Quebec premiere of La Chasse-Galerie, a work by Rémi St-Jacques inspired by the famous legend of Quebec folklore, written for choir, piano, and percussion.
A concert celebrating the vitality of contemporary choral creation and the richness of Quebec’s musical heritage.
